What should you race in on the day?
Your choice of race kit should depend first and foremost on the temperature, the distance and how minimal a setup you want.
On hot days, TEMPO! PRO Run Singlet is our purest racing top. It is made from an ultralight Italian mesh that dries quickly and moves sweat away from the body. If you want more coverage over the shoulders, TEMPO! PRO Run T-Shirt gives you many of the same properties in a short-sleeved construction built around maximum ventilation.
TEMPO! ONE Run Singlet is a more versatile alternative for both training and racing. It is built for hot conditions and summer running around 15–30 °C, with a light construction and few seams that reduce the risk of chafing. That makes it an obvious choice if your race kit also has to cover a lot of training kilometres.
If you prefer a classic T-shirt, TEMPO! TWO Run T-Shirt is our high-performance all-rounder. The Danish fabric from Herning Fabrics weighs 125 GSM and has a two-sided construction where the inner face moves sweat away from the skin. It is slightly more substantial than the PRO Run T-Shirt and therefore a good choice if you value versatility and durability over the absolute lowest weight.
Shorts or tights for racing?
TEMPO! PRO Run Shorts are built for the days when speed comes first. The construction combines an almost weightless outer short with a compressive inner tight in our True Tights length, ending below the thigh muscle. The inner tight stays in place at high intensity and carries two thigh pockets, where gels or a phone can sit close to the body without unnecessary bounce.
Over longer distances, storage and stability matter even more. TEMPO! Run Tights have a close race fit, two side pockets for energy and phone, and a length just above the knee. The front panel has a soft, brushed inner face, so the tights are built to be worn without underwear. That means fewer layers and less that can irritate over many kilometres.
The small details matter more the further you run
Socks may be a small part of your race setup, but over a marathon, hot feet, friction and a close-fitting racing shoe can make the difference noticeable. TEMPO! PRO Run Sock is therefore built with open mesh over the foot, minimal weight and a very thin construction. That increases ventilation and makes extra room in the shoe as the feet expand in the heat.
When the weather is hard to dress for, TEMPO! Run Sleeves let you start with extra protection without choosing a warmer top. They protect against cool air, wind and sun, carry UPF 50+, and can be pulled off and stowed along the way as the temperature rises.
TEMPO! ONE, TWO or PRO?
You do not need the most uncompromising race product to race.
TEMPO! ONE is built for functional performance and plenty of running kilometres. TEMPO! TWO balances performance, comfort and durability, and suits the runner who wants to use the same kit for both training and racing. TEMPO! PRO is built for the situations where performance weighs heaviest, and where weight, ventilation, fit and details are optimised with race day in mind.
The right race setup is therefore not necessarily the same for a hot 5 km as for a marathon on a cool morning. Choose the products that suit the distance, the weather and the way you prefer to run.
