Danish business newspaper Børsen examines how Fusion has built a different approach to apparel production, replacing the industry’s traditional long lead times and large advance orders with a more responsive, demand-driven supply chain.
Rather than producing large volumes months before knowing what customers will actually buy, Fusion manufactures sportswear progressively as products are sold through its retail partners. The model is designed to bring production closer to real demand, reducing both inventory risk for retailers and the risk of producing garments that ultimately remain unsold.
Børsen highlights the frequency of Fusion’s supply chain as a central part of the model. During the previous year, Fusion received 124 separate deliveries into its warehouse, enabling products to be replenished continuously rather than through a small number of large seasonal shipments.
