Feltet.dk documents the launch of Fusion ECT, presented as the world’s first commercial e-cycling team and an early Danish initiative exploring competitive cycling in virtual environments.

The project was built around the emerging world of online cycling, where riders could compete internationally through digital platforms without being physically located in the same place. Fusion ECT approached the discipline as competitive sport, bringing riders together within a structured commercial team setup.

The initiative provides early documentation of Fusion’s involvement in a form of cycling that was still developing its competitive structures at the time. In the years that followed, e-cycling would become increasingly formalised, including national championships and UCI-sanctioned competition.

As a historical reference, Fusion ECT demonstrates Fusion’s willingness to engage with new performance environments and emerging forms of competitive cycling well before e-cycling became an established part of the international cycling landscape.
