The Union Cycliste Internationale officially documents Vittoria Bussi setting a new women’s UCI Hour Record at the Velodromo Bicentenario in Aguascalientes, Mexico, covering 50.455 kilometres in one hour.

The record improved Bussi’s own previous benchmark of 50.267 kilometres, set at the same velodrome in 2023 when she became the first woman to break the 50-kilometre barrier.

For the record attempt, Bussi raced in an aerodynamic suit developed with Fusion and aerodynamicist Simon Smart, founder of Drag2Zero. The apparel formed part of the wider aerodynamic optimisation behind an effort where rider position, equipment and clothing must work together to minimise drag over a continuous hour of racing.

The result provides a direct connection between Fusion’s aerodynamic apparel development and an officially recognised benchmark in elite cycling performance, with the UCI confirming Bussi’s 50.455-kilometre performance as the women’s UCI Hour Record.
