Jens Emil grew up in Bjerringbro and loved the adrenaline rush he got from training MTB starting in his early teenage years. At the age of 20, he debuted in Xterra Norway, placing 5th overall and qualifying for the Maui World Cup. Since then, he hasn’t looked back. In 2021 Jens Emil broke through internationally, with his first Xterra victory in Malta and U23 Euro gold and silver respectively in cross duathlon and triathlon.
To win the Xterra World Cup, but also to compete at the highest level outside the cross scene and win road races.
Jens Emil thrives on juggling activities, and alongside his sport science studies and training, he is involved in several projects. One of the more durable projects has been “Capra Tri”, where Jens Emil teams up with fellow FUSION athlete Jesper Riis. The Jutland duo refers to Capra Tri, with a good portion of self-irony, as “the world’s smallest Triathlon Team”.
